Anetheron was created by Angélica (drums) and Geovanny (vocals and guitar).

Officially, the band was released in September 2014, in November of the same year the first single was recorded with which the band became known in January 2015, titled 'Dreadlord', this features the participation on vocals of Maysa Rodrigues, guitarist and vocalist of Cauterization (Brazil).

By the end of that year, the recording of their self-titled debut EP began, released in physical format in May 2016, the same year in which the remaining members were found to be able to play live. Currently, the lineup consists of Eynar on bass and backing vocals (although Eynar left for two years, he is and has been the band's only bassist, playing an important role within it), Angélica on drums, Geovanny on vocals and guitar, and since October 2024, Max has joined on 7 strings.

The single "Cataclysm" was released in November 2017, "Necromancer" in September 2018, and "The Gods of Yore" in January 2020. They were nominated for the 2017 Kalani Awards for Mexican metal as a promising band.

They have shared the stage with several national and international bands, to name a few; Anetheron was a guest band for Cradle of Filth on their return to Mexico City, they have also played alongside Luxuria the Lilith (BR), Hexis (DNK), Uburen (NOR), Tortharry (CZ), Soulcide (MX) to name a few.

They are currently promoting their new single "Black Empire" (available on all digital platforms) which can be found in their new musical production, "The Veil Ov Shadows" which is expected to be released in mid-2025.

Their new album is bringing them good things even without being officially released, managing to get their first release in the country alongside Aborted in Japan in January of next year!
